PRAYER  (adapted from a prayer from Enfleshed)

Loving God, you Who Knows, all that we experience is held in your care. Nothing is hidden from you – not the burdens we bear in public or the quiet pain felt only in secret. Your love for us welcomes everything that aches. With hearts open to your Spirit, we bring all our hopes and fears to you. Amen.

SINGING TOGETHER

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing    (See words at bottom of page)

SCRIPTURE                  Mark 12:28-34

REFLECTION        Holy Connectedness

“We are indeed connected to God, one another, and all of creation.  In these strange and wondrous days, how do we live out this Holy Connectedness?  What might it mean to love our neighbor as ourselves in the midst of fear and perceived scarcity?  In what ways can we BE a Beloved Community Presence…even in social isolation?”

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

INVITATION TO THE OFFERING

PEOPLES’ RESPONSE

To Be Faithful

 by Richard Bruxvoort Colligan

To be faithful with what I’ve been given,  To be faithful with who I am,

To be faithful with how I am living, I pray to be faithful.

To be faithful with what we’ve been given, To be faithful with who we are,

To be faithful with how we are living, We pray to be faithful.

PRAYER OF DEDICATION  (adapted from a prayer from Enfleshed

 Wherever there is suffering in body or in spirit, you come to us, O God, with compassion and companionship. No exceptions.

 For all the ways you nurture and feed us in body and spirit, we praise you.  For all the ways you show us such care when others can’t or don’t, we give you thanks and ask your blessing on these gifts with humble gratitude, as together we pray,

 Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day, our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

SENDING SONG

Pour Us Out Like Water

 by Andra Moran

Pour us out like water on a thirsty world; Send us out to share the peace we’ve found here.

May we offer up ourselves, humbled now to serve.

Send us with faith, send us with hope, send us with love.

BENEDICTION

May God bless and keep you.  May God’s face shine upon you and be gracious unto you.

May God look upon with kindness, And shower you with blessing and peace

Today and always.  Amen

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing,

Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;

Streams of mercy, never ceasing,

Call for songs of loudest praise.

Teach me some melodious sonnet,

Sung by flaming tongues above;

Praise the mount!  I’m fixed upon it,

Mount of Thy redeeming love.

Here I raise my “Ebenezer”

Hither by Thy help I come.

And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,

Safely to arrive at home.

Jesus sought me when a stranger,

Wandering from the fold of God;

 He, to rescue me from danger,

 Interposed His precious blood.

Oh, to grace how great a debtor,

Daily I’m constrained to be!

Let Thy goodness, like a fetter,

Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee.

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,

Prone to leave the God I love;

Here’s my heart, Lord, take and seal it,

Seal it for Thy courts above.

Here’s my heart, Lord, take and seal it,

Seal it for Thy courts above.
