Ebenezer offers educational opportunities that make the stories of our faith meaningful, helping children understand that God is present in our lives today. In our Workshop Rotation model (WRM) format for Sunday School, children study each story for four weeks in a variety of ways, from crafts to cooking, as they rotate through kid-friendly, multi-media workshops. Each Sunday also includes a time for singing. Classes are held on Sunday mornings between Labor Day and Memorial Day weekend. For children from age 4 through 6th grade, classes begin at 9:15. Children may attend the 9:00 am service with their families and are then dismissed for their classes following the Conversation with Children. In addition to Workshop Leaders, students also have shepherds who will guide them to their classroom activities and singing time. Children may be picked up at 10:15 am. Workshop rotation schedules are posted in the Sunday School hallway.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Each summer, Vacation Bible School provides five evenings of high-energy learning of God’s Word. Kids will discover that God is always with them to encourage, comfort, and empower them. Starting with singing in the sanctuary, children ages 3-12 then move through a variety of themed workshops. Each evening begins with a family meal at 5:15 pm. VBS is usually scheduled for the last week in July. Registration begins in May.
